Our Approach
We’re small, focused, and not looking for an endless contract.
I spent the first 25 years of my career leading technology teams for the federal government (Defense, Treasury) and a Fortune 30 telecommunications company (Comcast). In that time, I’ve worked with a number of consulting companies, from boutique firms to many of the giants in the technology industry.
Two things always bothered me about them…
1) They would often come in two waves – an upfront team that came to sell the deal and structure things, and then an execution team that rotated in (slowly, so as not to draw too much notice) once you had bought into them. There was limited continuity between the two waves.
2) Their clear aim was to perpetuate the need for themselves, rather than to get in, solve a problem, and move on to some other problem.
Our goals are different. You’ll deal consistently with the same people (probably me, in most cases) and we’ll try to make it so that you don’t need us after we’ve taken care of whatever it is that caused you to contact us in the first place.
Of course, we’d be glad to work with you for a long time, but if that happens, it should be because you were happy with our earlier work and now we’ve moved on to solving new problems together, not because we’re still dragging the original need out as long as we can.
